Toniebox Basics
The Toniebox is the ultimate musical storybox for children, and one of our favourite forever toys. Invented by Patric Faßbender and Marcus Stahl in Germany, their vision was to make childhood a magical time full of big adventures and loveable memories.
The Toniebox allows children to experience screen-free storytelling in a digital age that stimulates their imagination while being educational and fun.
The Starter Set comes in six cool colours to choose from and each set includes a matching Creative Tonie. This can record up to 90 minutes of your own content and you can download an hour of free stories and music onto it during set up, so you can get started immediately.
How do you use the Toniebox?
Once set up, operating the Toniebox is literally child’s play - kids as young as one year old can work it intuitively and grown ups don’t have to get involved. Just pop a Tonie on top and it starts playing. It is virtually un-kaputtable, making it the perfect addition to the playroom. And what do parents get out of it? How about a nice cup of tea whilst they play?
And what are Tonies?
Tonies are characters with hours of stories to tell,
songs to sing and worlds to explore. Choose from over 120 hand-painted, collectable characters that double up as beloved toys when not being listened to. Choose your favourite Disney tales,
beautiful Julia Donaldson stories, great collections of songs, and many of your child’s favourite characters: There is Peppa Pig, Marshal from Paw Patrol, Elsa

What about Creative Tonies?
Creative-Tonies are as unique as you are. Already got lots of audio you love? Your Toniebox comes with a matching Creative Tonie, with space to record up to 90 minutes yourself, and many more Creative Tonies are available to choose from. Stories from Grandma? Sing-along tunes? How about sending a story to your child whilst on a business trip, or letting the kids record their own songs? The opportunities are endless, and you will love coming up with more and more ideas. Setting Up the Toniebox
When you first set up the Toniebox, you just need to connect it to Wifi, download the mytonies app and follow simple instructions. Each time you get a new Tonie, make sure theToniebox is connected to Wifi and pop the Tonie on top to download the content. After that, it will play offline.

And what about sustainability?
One of the key issues of sustainability in toys is longevity, so we have selected the Toniebox because we firmly believe this is a forever toy. Content is available for children up to the age of about 11, and it can be passed on through the generations.
So that they don’t end up in landfill, Tonieboxes and Tonies are designed and manufactured with high-quality materials and components that are recyclable and reusable. Since the Toniebox contains batteries, please be advised of the following: Portable and rechargeable batteries and electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with your household waste. They can be sent for recycling by placing them into collection containers that can be found at many retail outlets and other public buildings across the UK.
Recycling your electrical and electronic devices is also free at your local recycling centre. To find your nearest centre, visit the Recycle More website and type in your postcode.
